Closet Clean Out Challenge Day 2: Kids Shoes & Accessories

Day 2: KIDS SHOES & ACCESSORIES

Did you know shoes sell really well on Kidizen? Considering how fast their little feet grow, I’m going to bet you have a few pairs that no longer fit. Let’s start by heading to their closets and taking out all the pairs that don’t fit anymore or the ones that they tend not to wear.

If they need a clean-up, Magic Erasers are, well, magic on the non-fabric parts of shoes. For sneakers, I learned this new trick called throw-”them-in-the-washing-machine”. The first time was scary. I thought for sure I was going to ruin them but then they came out so clean that I was instantly hooked. After I take them out of the washer, I stuff them with a towel to absorb some of the internal moisture for a few hours and then I let the shoes air dry.

And don’t forget the accessories! If their love of truck prints has been replaced with dinosaurs, list that backpack. Can they only pull the tights up to their knees? You know what to do.

Up next, Day 3…
