Tell us a little about you and your family.

Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’m a mom to three young boys, and we live in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. I’m also a school counselor, children’s book author, and curriculum writer. As a family we love camping, traveling, searching for sea glass, and playing with our Goldendoodle!

What inspired you to open a Kidizen shop?

I remember going into a popular clothing store as a young mom and coming out empty-handed and in tears when I found that 90% of the selection was girls’ clothing, and I have 3 boys. It was my best friend who introduced me to Kidizen almost nine years ago! I first fell in love with the community on Kidizen. I am always able to find just what I’m looking for, from dress clothes to Halloween costumes, to hand-me-down-quality pajamas.

What do you enjoy most about selling on Kidizen?

I love paying attention to where the clothes are going, and my boys like to color in each state we ship to on a map. We love knowing that their clothes aren’t just sitting in a storage bin and that other families get to enjoy them just as much as we did! It’s also a great incentive to regularly go through their closets and cull the items they’ve outgrown. I love that I can scroll back through my sold archives to remember all our favorites.

Tell us about your shop and the types of items you sell. 

 My shop is Blue Ridge Kids, and I’ve been selling on Kidizen for over 8 years! I carefully and thoughtfully package each item and ship immediately. My boys were all born in different seasons and each has their own unique style, so I am constantly listing the clothes they outgrow – we all know babies don’t keep! We love Hanna, Tea, Boden, and Under Armour, but you’ll find a mix of other brands, accessories, and the occasional girl and mama item. Come follow Blue Ridge Kids on Kidizen!
