Meet Jennifer, California mom of 5 and the woman behind the shop Carter Roo. 

We’re so excited, you are our first Shop Spotlight on our blog! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your family?

I’m equally as excited!! We are a family of 7, that is 5 kids ages 10, 6-year-old twins, a 2-year-old, and a 3-month-old. We live a wild life but wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m a full-time momma that gets to have her kids as her co-workers. 

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Fresno, Ca. Although work has me traveling the world with my little ones, I still primarily live in Fresno, San Francisco and Los Angeles. 

How did you find Kidizen and when did you start selling?

I came across Kidizen in 2015 shopping for my twins, finding two of anything was tough! I initially joined to shop but immediately started to sell my little ones outgrown clothing and shoes. 

Describe your kids’ styles. What are your favorite brands for them?

We wear it all from mall brands to luxury, but we don’t have a specific style we adhere to. Sometimes styles and brands I love simply don’t fit my kids and their personality. For my 10 year old we mostly do a street and hipster style. Luckily he still lets me dress him and doesn’t have a closet full of sportswear. My 6-year-old twin girls love any and everything that is girly and has glitter. So we do a lot of that for home and play but I would describe my style for them as classic. We do a lot of Little Road Company (Lulu and Roo) and Mini Boden. My two-year-old and 3 month old pretty much have no style and let me dress them up in any and all I like (they have no say). Those two are pretty much living in Rags, Childhoods, Kate Quinn and Nununu. They have a deep shoe collection and I can’t stop myself from shopping all things tiny. So in a nutshell, our favorite brands are Zara, Nununu, Rags, Childhoods, Kate Quinn, Little Road Company, Mini Boden, and all things shoes. 

All of your kids are models and actors. When did you decide to go down that path and what’s it like? Tell us all the deets!

We have been a model and acting household for about 10 years. My oldest always got compliments and we were always stopped by people. We explored opportunities and the rest is history. All my other kids followed in big brother’s footsteps, as we already knew the ropes. And eventually, Mom and Dad followed too. Our life appears wild and impossible from the outside looking in. Sometimes we have to travel daily, for days, weeks or months at a time depending on productions and who needs to be where. On set life is amazing and always a blast. The hardest part of the job is not being able to talk about stuff we are filming. We are totally living a dream! 

What is your favorite family vacation? 

Anywhere we all get to be with each other! We travel A LOT so we don’t necessarily have a favorite. I think the kids would say Disneyland since they get to go so often (which is more of a staycation). 

In 5 words, how would you describe yourself? 

The queen of organized chaos!

If you ever get time to yourself, how do you spend it?

Sleeping! 

What trend are you loving right now? 

I’m totally loving this neutral trend, for myself and my kids!

Do you have any Kidizen tips you want to share? 

List, list, list!! Not only does this keep your shop fresh, it keeps traffic coming which equals sales! Not to mention a clean closet at home and room for more shopping.
